DOUGLAS GARLAND

Biography

Dr. Douglas E. Garland was the Director of the Neurotrauma Division at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and Clinical Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Southern California (Emeritus). He also served on the Board of Directors for the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA). Dr. Garland is a prolific researcher and author of more than 100 scientific articles and book chapter publications. His research interests include osteoporosis in patients with spinal cord injury and treatment of heterotopic ossification.
