TRANSPORTATION

A reasonable modification for purposes of complementary ADA Paratransit is a modification to Rancho Research Institute (RRI) Transportation Deparment’s policies and procedures that are requested by an eligible customer to ensure they are able to use the paratransit system.

To request a reasonable modification to current policies and procedures, such as the “Beyond the Curb” service, please call our transportation department at (562) 385-6778.

RRI Transportation Department may deny requests for modification where:

​

1. Granting the request would fundamentally alter the nature of RRI Transportation Department’s services, programs, or activities;

2. Granting the request would create a direct threat to the health or safety of others;

3. It is determined that the patient is able to fully use the services, programs, or activities for their intended purpose without the request modification;

4. Granting the request would cause an unreasonable financial or administrative burden.

Reasonable Modification Complaints

​

If you would like to file a complaint regarding the service or determination of your reasonable modification request, please contact the RRI Transportation Department at (562) 385-8111 or at prequejo@ranchoresearch.org.  The RRI Transportation Department will review and investigate each filed complaint regarding reasonable modification, and respond within 10 calendar days.
