Dr. Ziyad Ayyoub is the Vice Chair of the Department of Neurorehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center where he also serves as Chief of the Adult Brain Injury Service and President of the Professional Staff Association. Dr. Ayyoub is a Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Western University of Health Sciences and Assoc. Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is Site Director of the UCLA Multicampus Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Training Program, UCLA Pain Fellowship Training Program, and UCI Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship Training Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Ayyoub specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury medicine, brain injury rehabilitation, pain management and spasticity management. He currently serves as Principal Investigator on multiple grant-funded international research projects. His research interest includes spasticity management and stem cell use for neurorestoration.
Dr. Ayyoub is certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), with a subspecialty in spinal injury medicine, and Brain Injury. Dr. Ayyoub is a Fellow of the AAPM&R and AAP (Association of Academic Physiatrists).
