Tze-Woei Tan

MD, MPH

Dr. Tze-Woei Tan is a board-certified vascular surgeon and Director of Limb Preservation Research at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). He has a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) and a strong foundation in sociocultural science and expertise in research and statistical methods in public health. As a health services researcher, he has a long-standing interest in reducing, and ultimately eliminating disparities in lower extremity amputation. His NIH-funded research has sought to understand patient-level, provider-level, institutional, and health system factors underlying the disparate risk of limb loss in patients with diabetes and peripheral artery disease (PAD). In addition, he has a long-standing interest in studying and improving the outcomes of revascularization procedures, surgical outcomes in older vascular patients, and complex dialysis access.
